Terms of use

Effective October 13, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Sean Kim ("we", "us") for using the Blankaday app and blankaday.com. By using Blankaday you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your information, and our community guidelines explain what you can share.

Who can use Blankaday

You need to be at least 13 to use Blankaday. If you're under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission. You're responsible for keeping your phone and your sign-in secure.

Your journal and answers

What you write is yours. Your journal stays on your phone and in your iCloud, and we can't read it. If you turn on Recap summaries, the app sends that month's answers, moods and reasons to write your summary, as the privacy policy explains.

When you share an answer with Friends or Everyone, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, show, moderate and group that answer so Blankaday works: in the reveal, the feed, your friends' feeds and results. The license ends when you stop sharing the answer, delete the day or delete your account. Results already counted, like an anonymous mood total, stay.

Only share answers you have the right to share, and follow the community guidelines.

Moderation

We check shared answers, with help from our AI provider and people who review reports. We can hide an answer, limit sharing from a device, or close an account that breaks these terms or the guidelines. If we hide your answer, it stays in your journal and you can ask us to review the decision in the app.

Not a health service

Blankaday is a journal, not a medical or mental health service, and it doesn't give medical advice. The support resources it shows are run by others. If you're in danger or thinking about hurting yourself, call your local emergency number. In the US you can call or text 988.

Plus and purchases

Some features may need Blankaday Plus, a subscription, or a one-time purchase like an extra Blankie. Apple handles every purchase under its own terms. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel, which you can do at any time in your Apple ID settings at least 24 hours before the period ends. Refunds are handled by Apple. You can restore purchases in the app. The daily blank itself is always free.

What you can't do

  • Break the law or the community guidelines
  • Try to find out who wrote an anonymous answer
  • Use bots, scripts or many devices to post, report or vote
  • Get into parts of Blankaday you're not meant to, or disrupt the service
  • Copy, resell or scrape Blankaday or other people's answers

Our app

Blankaday, Blankie and the daily blanks are ours, and these terms don't give you rights to them beyond using the app. If you send us feedback, we can use it without owing you anything.

Changes and ending

Blankaday will change over time. We may add or remove features. You can stop using Blankaday whenever you like, and delete your account in Settings. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app before the change takes effect.

Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts in California. If you have a problem, write to us first at support@blankaday.com and we'll try to fix it.

Apple

These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for Blankaday or for supporting it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them. If Blankaday fails to meet any warranty that applies, you can tell Apple, and Apple will refund the price you paid, if any. Apple has no other warranty obligation for Blankaday. Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.
