A sad day, a lonely week, a rough answer: all fine to share. So is asking for support. These guidelines are about protecting people, not about keeping things cheerful.
Everyone gets the same blank each day. Here's how to keep it a good place to answer.
Honest is welcome.
A sad day, a lonely week, a rough answer: all fine to share. So is asking for support. These guidelines are about protecting people, not about keeping things cheerful.
Shared answers are checked against these guidelines before others see them, with help from our AI provider. Unclear cases go to a person. When someone reports an answer, it's hidden for them right away, and a person reviews the report.
It's still in your journal and calendar. It's hidden from the feed and the reveal, and no one else is told it was hidden.
Think we got it wrong? On the screen that tells you the answer was hidden, tap Ask for a review. A person will look again.
Tap the menu next to an answer in the reveal or the feed, then choose Report. You can also just hide it for yourself. Reports are anonymous: the person isn't told who reported them.
You can report a friend from your Friends list. That also removes and blocks them, unless the reason is "Someone might be at risk".
Repeated or serious breaks can stop a device from sharing, or close an account.
Report the answer and choose "Someone might be at risk". If you or someone else is in danger right now, call your local emergency number. In the US you can call or text 988 to reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. Elsewhere, find a helpline at findahelpline.com.
